At that moment, a network based on partnership was established: a Living Whell (free translation of Roda Viva, reference to the name of the Association in Portuguese) thinking about educational solutions for kids and teenagers in social vulnerability situation. Our Home

Working in Complexo do Borel (one of the biggest favelas in Rio de Janeiro) for almost 32 years, the Roda Viva’s Cultural Center is a reference to the local community. The 300m² building is located in “Chácara do Céu”, the highest point of the hill where the favela is established. There we have a computers room, a multi-pourpose room, tree classrooms, a toy room, a canteen, a cooking lab, bakery lab and courtyard. The Roda Viva’s Cultural Center offers to that community cultural, educational, sports and social assistance activities, aiming children, teenagers and offering professional education to young and adults.
